简介：清朝末年，八国联军入京，慈禧太后携光绪皇帝等人仓皇西逃。西行路上，由于御膳大厨被小李公公谋害掉入悬崖失踪，慈禧只得命太监小李子在当地挑选厨师。小福贵的爷爷有一手好厨艺，被小李子选为慈禧的御用厨师，但他却无意中发现有人给慈禧的菜肴中下了毒……维新变法之后，慈禧太后对光绪皇帝极度不满，有心废黜却又有所顾忌。由于后党大臣荣全是黑暗料理界的人，也揣摩到太后的心思，买通太监小李子，利用在菜肴中下毒谋害慈禧的方式以嫁祸光绪，促使慈禧太后下决心早日废黜光绪皇帝。稀里糊涂之下，小福贵的爷爷成了政治的牺牲品，被认定是下毒凶手，判处死刑，秋后问斩。身手不凡的小福贵苦练十八般厨艺，就在他成为首席御膳大厨时却又被卷入了一场政治斗争的漩涡当中……最后，K大人下了毒手，小福贵的爷爷和太医死了，小飞蝶走了，小蜜蜂死了，小福贵领悟到了民间才有真情，他似乎听到了小飞蝶的呼唤，驰马而去···
